Just hot off the needles. Boys cardigan 6 mths to 12 mths. The pattern is by Sirdar (1987). I have used Sirdar Crofters wool. I did enjoy making this.
Now just to find the perfect buttons and a bit of blocking then ready for selling.

Hi guys,
Another make from me. A baby poncho, 3 months to 6 months. Loved making this due to practising my cables.
The poncho is also modelled by Batbear ( my husband's build a bear).
Please say hi so I can come visit you.

Hi Guys,
Well I have managed to make baby Charlotte……oopppssss sorry Princess Charlotte a pair of cross over booties………a lot of swearing!!!!!!! The pattern is from Baby and Toddler Knits made easy by DK. This is the fourth try but it WORKED this time!!!!!!!!
The wool I have used is Sublime Cashmere Merino Silk DK in pink.
The flowers I have used purple in Sublime Cashmere Merino Silk DK and the green is from the stash. The stitches I have used is daisy stitch and bullion stitch which is new to me but I think the flowers have turned out ok.
I think I am going to have to make some more and I think these are are so sweet. Just wish I had this knowledge of knitting when Jennifer had been a baby.

Hi guys,
I found this in my crafting stash and it brought back some memories:
Anyone remember this??????? When I was a kid I never had anything this posh. I remember just having a wooden cotton reel from Grandma’s stash with 4 nails in it and it lasted me years. I just made loads of the coils below:
This one has been claimed by the cats has they love them.
I am going to be brave and try to teach Jennifer on how to do these coils.
What did you make with these coils?
I will leave you with some yummy chocolate rock buns Duncan as made.

HI guys,
Time for a catch up.
Well in the last knitting post I mentioned a new project on the go……well here it is
Another baby cardigan with matching hat. I used Sirdar Supersoft Aran in green from The Wool Shop in Leeds.
I loved doing the cable work and I am really impressed with my stitching up. This as been a massive learning curve for me and I do have to admit I am so glad that the Wool Shop is only around a few corners for the help when I got stuck.
I have also completed a crocheted rabbit for Duncan.
I used the pattern from Simply Crochet Issue 2. The pattern is called Itty-bitty bunny. The wool I used was Hayfield Bonus DK shade number 0931. Duncan picked the wool and it was ok to use but the black bits did come off in my hand. I would not recommend this wool for a small child……….except for Duncan.
I think I may have to look for some fluffy wool for the tail next time and have a play…..what do you think?
Oh yes my desk is tidy for once as I decided yesterday to have a tidy up on my desk………I don’t think it will last long but I can hope.
Take care

Hi guys,
Well I have not been able to put my latest projects on here as they are Father Day’s things…….but I can show you this as I can not wait until Sunday…….. I have knitted my first toy……….My Father in Law loves Owls so I could not let this one go without trying…
He was fiddling in bits but I managed it. I could not wait until Fathers Day so I have entered him onto my Father in Law’s facebook page asking for a home urgently for this little owl……just waiting for the answer.
This pattern is by Alan Dart and it is part of the Owl and the Pussy Cat pattern he as done for the simply knitting magazine……..I may have to try this again but add the cat and boat.
Hope you like.

Hi guys,
On Wednesday me and Duncan had our first session with a personal trainer at the gym we have joined………I have never settled in a gym and always give up after a few weeks………….So this time we joined together but I did not know what to do really to get rid of all this fat I have. So we have the lovely Richard who is going to push us to the limits and show us how to use the machines correctly. So we did the legs on Wednesday night……..pain for the next 2 days with the second session on Friday night which was to work on the shoulders……….I am feeling it at this moment with just typing this post……I managed to do my weeding……with a lot of groaning……….Duncan is suffering as well. It does not finish there as tomorrow morning we will be doing the third session on the back and chest. The best bit is then we have 2 days off and start all over again on Wednesday. I am enjoying it but it is very hard work. Will keep you posted on this as we go along and in the future I may be able to show you the before and after pictures.
Anyhow back to the bargain I was telling you about………………..Well Sue at the Wool Shop saw some of my work and told me of some goodies she had that I may be interested in……..so I had to go and look……yes dragging Duncan with me.
Would I be interested in the above and could I say no?????? NO so she give me these and the below I got for 50p each……
Duncan paid for these for me…….YES I am Spoilt!!!!!!!!
This afternoon after I finished my garden I took my newly delivered Craftseller mag and saw knitted wristband……so I had to have a go and this is what I have done……
I did get into such a tangle with the colours so I had to do a bit of looking for how to do this and I managed to do it……………I have made a few mistakes which I can see……can you??
I think I will have to wear these tomorrow to the gym.
What do you think?

Hi guys,
Well I did send Duncan back to the Wool Shop to get me some more of that yummy James C Brett Marble Chunky wool……well I did go with him for a nosey……..and this is what we brought back with us….
MMMMMMMMMMMM!!!!!!! In my last post I mentioned that with the last ball of wool came a pattern by Sue Golthorpe who happens to run the Wool Shop with her other half Jon…………This is what I managed to make…….
Without the flowers. I decided to make the flowers with a 5.5mm crochet hook.
I think they are cool………….I have never made anything like this before and I think I have made a good effort…….wonder what Sue will think of them.
The Wool Shop to see what other lovely stuff they have. Best thing for me is that it is just around the corner from me and if I get stuck I can always go around for help.
Well I hope you like.

Hi guys,
Well my project today was knitting a tea cosy for my Mummy. Mummy is my best friend’s mum and I have called her Mummy for years. So I sent Duncan to the wool shop yesterday as I was having a tatting lesson in Barnsley with my mate Tina……he got me some more James C Brett Marble Chunky. Once again I have used the pattern from the Simply Knitting magazine. The designer is called Kirstie McLeod.
I am getting to really like this wool. This wool came with a pattern which I am going to have to try next………..when I send Duncan to the shop again for more wool……hehehehe.
For the cord I used my crochet hook instead of twisting it as in the mag.
I think I am going to use the left over wool from this ball to make flowers for my tea cosy….
See ya soon

Hi guys,
Sorry for been quiet but I have had a try at knitting and this is what I have attempted to make:
Yes a tea cosy…….and it is a bight orange………well it was the only wool I had and I wanted to start straight away…..it is a double knit. I was suppose to use 5.5mm needle but I only had 5mm. I have the flowers to crochet but I could not wait to show you guys………….It as turned out great in my eyes…..
The pattern is from the Simply knitting Special Subscriber's Edition by a lady called Kirstie McLeod. I love it!!!! I think I need to do more but will have to visit the local wool shop……………do I sneak out of the house to do this…….??????? I need a plan.
I have to show you some of the lovely presents I got today for my Birthday. I received Labels thirteen and wonky squares nesties from Dad and Jennifer. The below from Smudge and Tikka:
From the hubby I am getting a spend in a craft shop……..hhmmmmmmmmm I wonder if his budget is the same amount as the one I am thinking of????????
I received these from a colleague from work……I love Hyacinths and she got me these for my new office as I leave my job next week for other adventure. I have been spoilt rotten this year.
Please leave comments on my attempt at a tea cosy.

Hi guys,
For my Birthday my Best Friend got me a gift voucher for my local wool shop. So I went yesterday to see what I could get up to. I have 2 patterns I have that I would love to have a go at so I took these with me and I managed to get all the wool and new needles with change………………….so my voucher as been up dated for the next visit.
The first project was called shaker hearts from The Art of Knitting issues. It as taken me a day and half to do but I am so proud that I kept going when things did not go well.
So here are the pictures:
The wool I used was Sirdar Calico DK in purple, blue and white.
The purple side above.
The blue side.
There was going to be a ribbon so it could be hung up but I didn’t quite get this bit right and it ended up on the inside…………….I hope you are not laughing too hard about this. I think I have got that bit sorted for the next one.
I hope you like and I need to go read up on the intarsia method so watch this space……….for the next laugh really LOL.
