Birthday card

Hi guys,

I can now show you a Birthday card I made for  my Mother-in-Law last month.

I used patterns from a summer collection that I got with a craft magazine. I used my flower nestibilities ( blossom, peony and dahlia). The butterfly stamp was also from a craft magazine.......so sorry I can not remember  which one. I used pencils to colour. Also used some bling on the large butterfly and candy and a few tatted butterflies I had made. The little butterfly stamp was from a collection that my husband bought me when I first started to craft..........crumbs 11 years ago.

On the inside of the card I have used candy and the little butterfly stamp again.

A card for a friend and a challenge

 

Hi guys,

The house is so quiet and the reason??????? Jennifer is having a sleep over at a new respite carers tonight. We have not had a break for over 6 months and we are all glad for today! Jennifer has a condition called Re-active Attachment Disorder so things can get very tense, very quick and can last a very long time. So to get Jennifer to go she thinks this is a holiday for her to get away from the grumpy parents!! At first Jennifer thought this break was because she was naughty and it took us ages to explain that she needed a break from us. So the mice are playing today………

First thing was to get the craft stuff out and play…while Duncan is on the xbox. There is a challenge over at Chocolate, Coffee and Cards Challenge Here and it was good timing as I had to make a card for a friend of Duncan’s. The challenge is to use numbers.

So here is what I have made:

The stamp is StarBoy Luka from La-LaLand Crafts. I have used my watercolours once again. The numbers have been done on the computer and I have used a little Cuttlebug Provo craft embosser for the blue card around the numbers.

A closer look at Luka.

The card at full length. The papers are from the Papermania For him pack. I have had this pack for years. I have also used card candy. Also used to inks all the edges is Tim Holtz Distress ink in broken china. Around Luka I have used my chalks.

The nesties I have used are Labels Seventeen, Labels Twenty-Two and Decorative Labels Twenty-Two.

Sketch Saturday Challenge

 

Hi guys,

Well I have been studying hard as I have an exam in the next couple of weeks and I needed a break so this is what I have done. Sketch Saturday have a great sketch

Here is what I have managed to do:

I have used the following:

Papers from Papermania For Him and Masculine packs. The plain blue is from the crop box.

Nesties are Labels 29 and the pennants from the 2 pennants packs.

Card candy

The main stamp is StarBoy Luka from La-La Land Crafts. The sentiment stamp is from the Black Penny Cake Dance.

I have even done something inside the card:

A Card for Sketch Saturday!

 

Hi guys,

I have tried to make an effort with keeping up with other blogs as well as my own. So I was reading the Saturday Sketch blog and I was looking at this weeks sketch wondering if my mojo would ever come back to me……..

I did feel something but just a little bit……

This is what I managed. I used an old Whiff of Joy stamp called Melinda Helping Angel. I used my new watercolours and water pen.  The papers are from the Kate Knight Spring Fling pad that I got free from the Cardmaking & Papercraft magazine a while ago. Card candy and buttons from stash. To finish the card off I shuttle tatted some little butterflies.

So I would like to thank Sketch Saturday for helping me with the card drought and enter the sketch challenge. If you click on the Sketch Saturday above it will take you t the challenge post.

I have been doing a bit of crafting!!!

 

Hi guys,

I know before you say anything I have been quieted this last few weeks! Sorry!!!!!!!!

I have been working hard on my tatting…….well at least trying:

The white flower on the right is the needle tatting I did which you can see Here. The one on the left is shuttle tatting with 2 colours. I thought this would be good practice on the joins of rings to chains……the gaps are getting smaller with time.

Sorry I have not tidied all the thread ends. So I thought the next thing for me to try is the medallion I did with the needle. You can see the original post Here.

So with the shuttle I have managed to do this:

I have also made some cards as it was Duncan Birthday on the 13th of August.

I had to use the Dragon stamps I have. Got to say that I am really struggling to make cards at the moment. Seem more into crochet, knitting or trying to tat.

So I have been doing some crafting if not blogging…..which is terrible of me.

Hi guys,

Wow another order done……and no purple in sight!

I was told the following: Butterflies, 50, Rhino colours, not really girly.

The Rhino colours are blue, yellow and a bit of pink, as in the Leeds Rhinos not the animals……….just in case you were about to say Rhinos are not blue and yellow and this women is losing the plot…….which I think I am a bit.Here is what I did.

The top bit a little closer.

I found my little corner punch of ladybirds……….been in a box for a while.

A matching tag for the present.

Purple, purple and more purple

Hi guys,
I have been a busy bee today……I got up early and walked for 30 mins to the gym……did a little work out…….this is very new to me and then the walk back which is all up hill. Had poached eggs on toast and then did the washing up…..then put the washing on the line……this is the best bit, been able to put the washing out. Another load in the machine and then up to craft room to finish a card order……….phew!!!!
The details I was given is name, age, colour ( My Fav of Purple) and girly.
This is what I have made and I have to say I did not want to give it over.

I can never get the pictures to show the true purple…. I have used buttons.

I used the Wild Rose Studio Cat and Flowers stamp. Promarkers to colour. Colour co-ordinate candy at the bottom. I also used my new Elegent Scrollwork by the memory box. I LOVE this scroll.

More scrolls…..and this is very girly for me. Rolled up roses. A purple flower from the stash. I used the computer for the writing.

My roses are getting better. I also had to make a crocheted heart with another brad that as been in the stash for a few years. I just used 3.5 crochet hook with purple dk wool.

I had to do a picture from the side. I do love this card……but what do you think??????

My crafty shop!

 

Hi guys,

Well I back from my Birthday shop from the hubby. I got loads of goodies…….what should I show first………….

The first place we went was Samuels in Leeds and did a lot of drooling……and I mean a lot…………

These are so cute!!!!!!!!!!

So did the spend stop there????????? naw

It was then to the local wool shop……..now before you say I was completely spoilt……..the 2 balls of wool on the left hand side are for a crocheted lion that Duncan wants so these do not class as a pressie for me……I am sticking to this!  LOL.

This is Marble Chunky and it is beautiful…….this is for a tea cosy for me…………if this works I am going to invest is some red for a family member.

The middle wool is for more aliens.

Well I better had get to the crafting…….ooppppssssss where do I put all this goodness??????????

Pammybear’s present

Hi guys,

I have done a little bit of crafting this weekend. The first bit I can not put up yet as it is Duncan’s Valentines card……so you will have to watch out for that very soon.

So last week it was Pam’s Birthday my friend at work………I was really ill last weekend so could not go out and get her presents. So this weekend I got this sorted…………We always buy gardening stuff for each other……So I got her some gardening gloves and seeds. Now what do I put then in………….so the ultimate pro came out and I made a box for them.

When I first took the pictures there was no tatted flower but I had to add something.

Embossing folders had to be taken out.

I enjoyed making this as it was a little bit different.  I do hope she likes it.

Birthday Card

Hi guys,

It is my Best Friend Tina’s Birthday and I find doing cards for her so hard. She is another crafter and you want to do something special. So I have followed a sketch from Fetch a Sketch:

So this is what I have done:

I have used papers from the stash and I can’t remember where I got as it is sooooooooooooo old. I have done paper piecing for the first time on the stamp from the Kanban Fairy Cakes collection. Ribbon from the dusty drawer. I have used my sewing machine………..On the inside I have used more stash paper and added a tatted flower………well I had to do this as it was Tina who introduced me to tatting…

It is also a good thing that Tina loves Purple just like I do.

So I think I will enter this into the Fetch a Sketch challenge.

Butterfly card

Hi guys,
This is what I did with the 3d butterfly I made.


The backing paper is from the stash that I have for ages. I used the Fergus with Cupcake from Wild Rose Studio. He is soooooo cute. I used my promarkers to colour. Used the circle nesties. I was brave and used my sewing machine to stitch around the edges. The sentiment at the bottom is from Pumpkin the Cheerleader collection from Daisy and Dandelion.
I would like to enter this into the Flutterby Wednesday challenge and Allsorts Challenge.

Challenge card

 

Hi guys,

I have made this card for Just Magnolia and Hangler and Stangler challenge…………I don’t have any of the Hangler and Stangler stamps……well not yet. So I used my lovely Magnolia stamps…………… I used Star Tilda.

I have been practising using my promarkers and this is what I made:

The challenge was to follow a sketch by the Lovely Bev.

The card I used all came from my crop box. I used card candy and my circle nesties.

Dad asked me to make him a card for a friend and this is what I made.

I used the Lili of the Valley Uguns the Dragon- he is sooooooo cute

Promarkers to colour him in.

Catch U a Birthday Wish

Hi guys,

On this card I have used Edwin again with a little net. This stamp as been in my collection and I don’t remember using him…………..I don’t want the other half to hear this……….but I have used it now………also trying to use some of the scraps of paper and card I have in my scrap box that is over flowing…….

The patterned paper is from the My Mind’s Eye Spring collection.

The nesties is the Peony.

I used my chalks from Dovecraft in pastels and bright.

Edwin had to catch something so on the inside…………….

A lovely Butterfly which is a die from Provo crafts with different embossing styles. I used the bright chalks from Dovecraft.
