Duncan,s second project

HI Guys,

Duncan went crafting with me agian this week and decided to do a more difficult project and this is what he made. A cat mirror for me and I just love it.
I just have to find the perfect spot for it now. I have made some gentle hints at the fact that I could do with some nice glass light shades for the house.

Secret Crafter Challenge

Hi guys,

I wanted to use my favourite colour in this sketch for the Secret crafters sketch. Yes my favourite colour is purple. I used the armful of wishes from the Little Claire Designs. I love this stamp. Coloured with Whisper pens. The flowers were made from parchment and embossed to give a 3d effect with pink gems in the middle. For the sentiment I used my circle nesties and wrote just for you in the middle.

I hope you like and thanks for looking.

Allsorts Challenge

Hi guys,

I have done this for the Allsorts challenge and the rules is Halloween. I have to say I am not a halloween fan but I think I can make an exception for this lovely image. I received this digital image from Digital delights for entering one of their challenges last week. I just used whisper pens to colour him in and then layered him up on some black and deep red papers. I used the Boo! from the Daisy and Dandelion set with pink ink it up and then using red embossing powder.

Thanks for looking and let me know you have had a look by posting a comment.

Charisma and Cute Card Thursday Challenge

Hi guys,

I used the sketch from the Sugar Bowl challenge but then realised that you had to use a Sugar Nellie stamp which I don't have......a big sniff at this point. I didn't want to waste my card so on Charisma it is a recipe of 1 ribbon, 3 flowers, 3 papers and a charm. Also on the Cute card challenge it is just that a charm as to be used so this card fits 2 challenges.

I hope you like and thanks for looking.

Autumn Thanks-C.R.A.F.T Challenge and Secret Crafter Saturday Challenge

Autumn colours. I tried something completely different for me and that was to do something on the inside of the card. It is very rare I touch the inside but I fancied a change. I used a border punch with leaves for front and back. On the inside I just cut some brown paper to size and used DST. I used my nesties for the light brown and off white centre. For the front cover I used a Magnolia stamp and used my whisper pens to colour, I also used chalk on the outside of the stamp. Had to use the nesties again with brads.
I have entered this into 2 challenges which are C.R.A.F.T challenge and the Secret Crafter Saturday challenge.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like.

Sketch challenge 18 on Trimcrafts

Hi guys,

There is a wonderful challenge on Trimcrafts were we are given sketch's to follow and we are on week 18 already! It has gone so quick it's unbelievable.
To make this card I used a yellow card I had in my stash. I used the largest rectangle in the scalloped collection and used some pink card. When I had cut out I used my cute texture pad to embossed the nestie. I stuck this to the base card. I used some ribbon that I have for years and layered this onto the card. I cut another scalloped nestie and embossed the edges. I used the second largest rectangle from the classic collection. I used a Smirk stamp from the Love and Friendship collection. Coloured using my Whisper pens and stuck to the large rectangle. To finish the card off I used the little gems that have been collecting dust.
I have to admit that I am a hoarder and don't like to use the pretty stuff. I am getting better and using the stuff and it's the challenges that are helping me in this.
Thanks for looking and I hope you like. I need to go sort my camera so I can at least post better photos.

The Crafty Pad Challenge

Hi guys

I have made another card for a lovely challenge over at the Crafty Pad. We had to follow a sketch:

And this is what I did to follow the above sketch. I have to admit I did like making this card.

I just played with the different layers until I was happy and quickly used DST before I could change my mind. Then I used my lovely new stamp, the butterfly and coloured with chalks. I added 3 stars to the top of the card and last but not least I used my brand new circle nesties. Stamped I Love you and embossed with powders and that is one card finished.
I hope you like and thank you for looking!

Friday Sketcher Challenge

Hi Guys,
I have made this for the Friday Sketcher Challenge which is to follow a sketch. I have a thing at the moment for blues so I made this for a boy. I seem to make many cards but for girls but not for boys. I have made use of my Big Shot for the texture strip and for the nestie shape. The image is Magnolia, Edwin coloured in coloured pencils. ( This brought memories back of me loving to colour in when I was a child).
Thanks for looking.

Quilling, tea ba folding and parchment card.

I have dedicated this card to Rozzy, Paperlace1 and Dicards over on the Trimmie site. The reason for this is that Rozzy brought back the quilling techniques and I had loads of quilling stuff hidden in the cupboards and had to join in on the challenge. Dicards for sending me instructions on tea bag folding. Another technique that I have not used in years. Not forgetting Paperlace1 for teaching me the new technique of parchment work which I love to do.

I used my nesties for the background. I made the butterfly wings with tea bag folding and made the body and antenna's with quilling. I made the flowers from parchment and used 2 gems for the centres.

Thanks for looking.

Quilling challenge over at Trimmies

Hi guys,

Rozzy over at Trimmies is doing a quilling challenge. She has given us a pattern to follow just to get the feel for it. Quite a few of us said that we had quilling papers hidden in the cupboards and that we had given it a go but then put it all away. So the challenge was born. I really enjoyed doing this card and it was great to put old techniques back into practise.
Thanks for looking!

Another crafting day

Hi guys,

Had another brilliant crafting day at Paperlace, Katie and Glassman's house. I had my second lesson in parchment and did some gridwork. I think the project should have taken me just over an hour but with all the chatting it turned into an all day thing. I got some new nesties which are brilliant and Paperlace played with these while I did my parchment.
