Another Order.

 

Hi guys,

Wow another order done……and no purple in sight!

I was told the following: Butterflies, 50, Rhino colours, not really girly.

The Rhino colours are blue, yellow and a bit of pink, as in the Leeds Rhinos not the animals……….just in case you were about to say Rhinos are not blue and yellow and this women is losing the plot…….which I think I am a bit.Here is what I did.

The top bit a little closer.

I found my little corner punch of ladybirds……….been in a box for a while.

A matching tag for the present.

Purple, purple and more purple

Hi guys,
I have been a busy bee today……I got up early and walked for 30 mins to the gym……did a little work out…….this is very new to me and then the walk back which is all up hill. Had poached eggs on toast and then did the washing up…..then put the washing on the line……this is the best bit, been able to put the washing out. Another load in the machine and then up to craft room to finish a card order……….phew!!!!
The details I was given is name, age, colour ( My Fav of Purple) and girly.
This is what I have made and I have to say I did not want to give it over.

I can never get the pictures to show the true purple…. I have used buttons.

I used the Wild Rose Studio Cat and Flowers stamp. Promarkers to colour. Colour co-ordinate candy at the bottom. I also used my new Elegent Scrollwork by the memory box. I LOVE this scroll.

More scrolls…..and this is very girly for me. Rolled up roses. A purple flower from the stash. I used the computer for the writing.

My roses are getting better. I also had to make a crocheted heart with another brad that as been in the stash for a few years. I just used 3.5 crochet hook with purple dk wool.

I had to do a picture from the side. I do love this card……but what do you think??????

Flower brooches.

 

Hi guys,

Not done much crafting this week but I have been reading my kindle and the Terry Patchett’s books which I am enjoying. I have a done a little bit of practical work……………. here you go…

I found the flower originally on Bunny Mummy’s blog that pointed this way.

So this is what I have done. I have made 2 one for Duncan’s Mum and one for my Mum.

There are quite deep at the back so I have done the following so they can wear them.

I hope they like them. I think I am going to have to make one for myself.

P.S. I have been spoilt today with ear rings, a ring from Jennifer that she used her school points to get me and the cats got me a bonsai tree.

It is WAR!!!!!!!!!

Yes it is WAR! It is me against the helpers!!!!! Please see below for the evidence…………

First piece of evidence is of Smudge who as taken my mouse as hostage! yes the green little car.

Smudge as taught Tikka the same move…….under there is my mouse!

This is smudge taking my arm for hostage…and at this very moment my desk is under siege as I am struggling to type this over a Smudge and he as a death grip on one of my crochet needles……I think I need to go to the drawing board……if I had the room and no cats.

Hi guys,

I have been busy today with doing all the ironing, then the garden and making this beautiful chocolate and strawberry cake without any calories………..yes with NO CALORIES!!!!!!!!!!

I do not feel one bit of guilt with this……

YUMMY!!!!!!!!!!

I have to say a MASSIVE thank you to the Gourmet Crochet. A yummy yarn cookbook by Christen Haden and Mariarosa Sala.

I really enjoyed making this with DK from Stylecraft and Hayfield Bonus DK and a 4mm crochet hook. Wonder what I am going to make next???????

Crocheted Lion

 

Hi guys,

I have crocheted a Lion for Duncan. Duncan bought me a Nicki Trench – Super-cute Crochet book which I did think was a little weird as I was drooling over stamps and he had put this into the basket and said that it was not part of my Birthday present but for getting a new job. It took for all of 2 seconds after we got out of the shop that the real reason for me getting it was made clear when he said could I please have a lion and do you want to go to the wool shop this afternoon.

So I have made the lion and I have impressed myself as when making the little fiddly bits I thought this is never going to work……… What do you think?

 

I did not have any of the safety eyes so I used my cross stitch thread I have. I have used double knit Special by Stylecraft. So I was taken to the wool shop again for more colours to make others. I have a fairy to make for Jennifer.

Aliens breeding

 

Hi guys,

This week I have been making more baby aliens for leaving presents. I have now left my job and start a new one tomorrow. I am leaving behind some wonderful people and I wanted them to know they are special.

These were made for Mehran, Rosemarie and Pam. For the girls I made boxes.

I used my Ultimate Pro to make the boxes in pink card.

For Pam.

For Rosemarie.

Mehran got his with a batch of Chocolate rock buns from Duncan as he as always enjoyed Duncan’s baking.

New arrival card

 

Hi guys,

Well I have managed to make a card today even with the wool and new stuff still on my desk for me to drool over and to keep stroking…….I know very sad. Duncan’s Best Friend was blessed with a baby girl last week and we get to meet baby Mia tomorrow. So exciting!!!!!

So this is what I have done.

I have used the Owl, flower and sentiment from the Honey and Hugs collection. The paper for the owl is from the Papermania Honey and Hugs collection…..been in the stash for a while. The star paper is from a collection that I have had from the early days and not quiet sure the designer.Ribbon is from the stash I bought for the wedding last year. Not forgetting Labels eight and card candy. I think I have covered everything.

My crafty shop!

 

Hi guys,

Well I back from my Birthday shop from the hubby. I got loads of goodies…….what should I show first………….

The first place we went was Samuels in Leeds and did a lot of drooling……and I mean a lot…………

These are so cute!!!!!!!!!!

So did the spend stop there????????? naw

It was then to the local wool shop……..now before you say I was completely spoilt……..the 2 balls of wool on the left hand side are for a crocheted lion that Duncan wants so these do not class as a pressie for me……I am sticking to this!  LOL.

This is Marble Chunky and it is beautiful…….this is for a tea cosy for me…………if this works I am going to invest is some red for a family member.

The middle wool is for more aliens.

Tea cosy

 

Hi guys,

Sorry for been quiet but I have had a try at knitting and this is what I have attempted to make:

Yes a tea cosy…….and it is a bight orange………well it was the only wool I had and I wanted to start straight away…..it is a double knit. I was suppose to use 5.5mm needle but I only had 5mm. I have the flowers to crochet but I could not wait to show you guys………….It as turned out great in my eyes…..

The pattern is from the Simply knitting Special Subscriber's Edition by a lady called Kirstie McLeod. I love it!!!! I think I need to do more but will have to visit the local wool shop……………do I sneak out of the house to do this…….??????? I need a plan.

I have to show you some of the lovely presents I got today for my Birthday. I received Labels thirteen and wonky squares nesties from Dad and Jennifer. The below from Smudge and Tikka:

From the hubby I am getting a spend in a craft shop……..hhmmmmmmmmm I wonder if his budget is the same amount as the one I am thinking of????????

I received these from a colleague from work……I love Hyacinths and she got me these for my new office as I leave my job next week for other adventure. I have been spoilt rotten this year.

What do you do when you can not work on your craft desk???????

I think this was Smudge saying he wanted the attention.

I think this looked meant “Get lost Mum!”

So I decided to make another alien but bigger…….. hehehehe

I will try to take better pictures tomorrow. I have used the Summer Stripes from Sirdar and a 4mm crochet hook.

Beware Alien!!!!!!!!!

Hi guys,
I have been threating to crochet Duncan a little alien for months and months. The pattern is in the Simply knitting magazine. It was seen and the words “ I want one of them!” were said to me. Duncan at the weekend bought me that Super Cute Crochet by Nicki Trench so I thought the alien would be a good place to start then when I feel a little bit braver I can try some of the wonderful animals in this book.
So here is the alien:

I have manage to get the eyes sort of straight.

Sorry pictures not very good but I had to take quick pictures as Duncan is taking it to work with him in the morning as space as been made on his desk for it……….. and some people say us ladies are nuts for having cute toys on our desks!!!LOL

The wool is from the wool box and I have had it for years. I used a 3.5mm crochet hook. Buttons from the stash.
I have entered this little alien into the CRAFT Challenge blog and Allsorts Challenge of "Anything goes".

I am impressed!!!!

 

Hi guys,

Well I have got Duncan’s card to me and he as impressed me please see below on why??????

He as used my heart nesties which is a first for him and the white paper in the background was the instructions for the Big Shot.

He also used my heart embossing folder.

I did not get an envelope as this stumped him completely.

He as only got to make my Birthday card for next week and he is already struggling with this.

I am impressed!!!!
