Cardigan

Hi guys,

Just hot off the needles. Boys cardigan 6 mths to 12 mths. The pattern is by Sirdar (1987). I have used Sirdar Crofters wool. I did enjoy making this.

Now just to find the perfect buttons and a bit of blocking then ready for selling.

Baby Poncho

Well I have just completed my first baby cardigan. I used the pattern from the granny square crochet by Catherine Hirst. Just need to find the right button.

Aliens

Hi guys,

Well I have made a little alien/ Stress ball for one of Duncan's friend and I could not resist the urge to make another one. So one will travel to the USA the other us not decided.
These are crocheted with Hayfield Bonus Buzz, shade 0676. I used my 4 mm hook. The eyes are made from a bit of white left over from another project.  2 black buttons from stash.

I don't know who was more nervous us or Jennifer. I know Daddy did his part about not kissing boys etc.

Finally!!!

Hi guys,
Well finally after 8 months of working hard.  I have finally finished the hubby's blanket 😀. It has 400 granny squares. For the border I have used the same colour order in half trebles. The final row was in trebles and took just under 5 hours to complete.
Duncan picked the colours and loves it.......oh yeah and so do the cats lol.

My first outdoor run

I am feeling quote proud of my first outdoor run. Well it was part run part walk but I did it. I did have to take my inhaler when I got in but I feel good that I did it.

Little bit of crochet

Well I thought I would have a little break from the tatting and work on the hubby's blanket. He picked the colours. I am just doing simple granny squares.

Loads of ends to do at the end.....I do start off doing the ends as I go along but it never lasts....oh dear lol.

Shuttle tatting

Well it's been a long time since my last post, so naughty of me. I have been crafting and reading blogs just not posting myself. This needs to change!

Well my lovely husband bought me a shuttle tatting course off crafty for Christmas so this inspired me to get the shuttles out.

This is my first play in a very long time. I was very happy with this and I thought the next step was to make something. So onto Pinterest I went.

So the search started. I found this beautiful snowflake by Tatting By The Bay.

It's was just a drawing which is new to me. I have only followed written instructions before. I have never tatted with 2 shuttles either........I think I will be doing some swearing with this.

So I got the shuttles ready and started at the wrong place....doh.

I did not give up so I started again and off I went. I got so carried away I forgot to do the first 2 joins but for once I did not throw the shuttles I kept on going trying to remember to do the following joins......yes I forgot the last few joins as well........I thought I had more to do.

So I have finished and I am so impressed with myself it's unbelievable.

I think I only swore a couple of times which is really good for me.

Another card from me!!!

 

Hi Guys,

I have produced another card not only for one reason but two…….Duncan’s Aunty as moved into a new home but also for a challenge.

The challenge is for Paper Players Sketch #164. The sketch is below:

This is what I did:

I used ribbon from the stash. Paper I have no idea as this as been in the stash for years. The flowers I was given by a friend and I have had these for years too…… Instead of using stamps I tried my hand at free hand writing for a change…….jury is still out on that verdict!

Just behind the flower I have used the Spellbinders Impressabilities. The bit on the left is the embossed side and the right side I have used it as a stencil…….sorry not a very good picture.

Again I have decorated on the inside. I have used Spellbinders Shapeabilities Ornate Squares. Card from the crop box. Once again I have used free hand for the inside too.

So another card made and I wonder what I can make next??????
