Father’s day cards

 

Hi guys,

Sorry for the delay in posting this. Not spent much time on the internet or computer. These are the cards for the Fathers Day.

For the Father in Law:

Something a bit different. I have used my new Honeysuckle Vine from Memory box…….I love this one!

Opened right out showing the new die set I have from Spellbinders – Floral Doily Accent. Also used candy and buttons from the stash.

A nice little cross stitch in the middle. The cross stitch pattern is from one of the many mags I get. I have used allsorts on this card. Father in Law loved it as it as his favorite owls on it. The card and papers are from the crop box.

This is Duncan’s card from Jennifer and the cats.

My first attempt at a double fold card for tags.

Duncan loves Dragons so I have used the Wild Rose Studio Fergus with Teddy. Instead of using my promarkers I have used my water colours which I have not used in ages………… I think I need to play with these a little bit more.

I crocheted a little owl for the father in law as I did not know how long it would take me to knit the owl for him. I got this pattern for the Art of Crochet mag that I get.

I thought I would show you a picture of my little helper helping me a lot…….NOT. Smudge does look like he is comfortable doesn’t he?????

Well we have just completed our 4th week with a personal trainer and Duncan as lost a massive 12lb and I have lost 5lb. I was a bit gutted with my loss but it was pointed out to me that I have never trainer like this before and I have found muscles that I did not know I had more like use. I have lines appearing around the muscles like my biceps and calves. So we have signed up for another 4 weeks and we have been told it is going to get harder. I will keep you updated and here is to the pain that is coming our way……LOL!!!!!

 

Right I need to get off the computer and get to work on the cross stitch I am doing………Remember this??????

Well I am on to the back stitching…….yes I remember saying I wanted to finished this before I got married and yes I have been married 10 months now…….I know I am terrible!!!!!!!!!

It is WAR!!!!!!!!!

Yes it is WAR! It is me against the helpers!!!!! Please see below for the evidence…………

First piece of evidence is of Smudge who as taken my mouse as hostage! yes the green little car.

Smudge as taught Tikka the same move…….under there is my mouse!

This is smudge taking my arm for hostage…and at this very moment my desk is under siege as I am struggling to type this over a Smudge and he as a death grip on one of my crochet needles……I think I need to go to the drawing board……if I had the room and no cats.

I am impressed!!!!

 

Hi guys,

Well I have got Duncan’s card to me and he as impressed me please see below on why??????

He as used my heart nesties which is a first for him and the white paper in the background was the instructions for the Big Shot.

He also used my heart embossing folder.

I did not get an envelope as this stumped him completely.

He as only got to make my Birthday card for next week and he is already struggling with this.

I am impressed!!!!

Valentine’s card to Duncan

Hi guys,
Well I can show you what I have done for Duncan for Valentine’s Day.

A love heart easel card…….I am really proud of this as it was an idea that I just played with. I used my heart nesties. A lovely little stamp from Nellie Snellen, coloured with promarkers.

I used my 3.5mm hook and made a crocheted heart. I added a little black button to go with the colour scheme.

I still can’t believe that this worked.

I had to show you the back as I did not know where to the put the writing so I just used more nesties and wrote on the back and made sure it can fold up when the card is flat.
Well we have already swopped cards and presents as Duncan does not want me waking him up at 6 in the morning. He also could not wait until the night.
I am going to enter this card into the Saturday Challenge which is "Red, white, Black with texture" and Cards for Men which is Valentines/Love.
Also the Papertake Weekly Challenge - Black, White and red all over.

WANTED!!!!

Hi guys,

WANTED!!! is my mojo back!!!! Missed so much PLEASE come back!!!!

I need to design my Thank you cards for the wedding and I can not think of anything to do…………I have not had the mojo for ages and this is the longest it as gone for……..so if anyone see it please point it back in my direction.

Duncan’s Valentines card

Hi guys,

I know what you are saying ……… I go quiet for ages and then you can not shut me up.

This is the front of Duncan’s Valentine’s card. I was just playing with my new Heart nesties and can up with this.

The heart in the middle is from the Personal Impressions Wedding collection. I heat embossed it with pink.
