My Dad's card

Hi guys,

This is the card for my Dad. My Dad is not for the fussy card so I have done this for him. The saying above the image of " I'm just resting my eyes" was always one of the favourite sayings he used, as well as " I don't have a dog and bark myself" this was said when I asked why I had to do a job in the house. I hope you like this card.
Thanks for looking.

Workshop Yesterday at Dimension Fourth

Hi Guys,

You properly know that on Saturdays I go over to my mates Tina's to craft. Well this Saturday we went to a stamping workshop at the Dimension Fourth in Barnsley. The group were so nice and we had a really good laugh.

This is what we did:

I have to admit I am not one for poppies but I could be tempted to buys these. I was introduced to Embossing powder in Detail black that picks the small wording so lovely.
I have to say I can not wait until the next workshop.

Delightful Challenge and sketch

Hi guys,

I have had a pretty good day with crafting. I have made this card based on the sketch that Delightful Challenge Blog are running at the moment. So I had to have a go and Father's Day is next week.

I used the following:

My Mind's Eye "Wild Asparagus" papers
Labels One nesties
Scalloped Circles small
Green ribbon from stash
Magnolia Edwin in bandages
And my Promarkers to colour the image.

The reason I used this image is that Duncan cut his thumbs yesterday while doing some glass work and this was the closes image I had.

Anything but a square - Cute Card Thursday

Hi Guys,

I have really loved making this small project. The challenge was to make anything but square. This was quite hard for me as I love the make square cards. So the nesties had to come and this is what I made.

I used My Mind's Eye "Wild Asparagus" papers for the front and inside the card. The swirl stamp was from my "baby safari" collection". Hello stamp was from "The Secret Woodlands" collection from Daisy and Dandelion.

Swirls and Pearls for The Craft Pad challenge

Hi Guys,

I have used the following to make this card:

My Minds Eye Spring collection paper
Papermania stitch pattern
Yellow thread from cross stitch stash
Cream smooth car and textured cream card
Parchment paper
Two pearl brads
Promarkers
I stamped the Whiff of Joy image onto white card and coloured with promarkers. I then used the Papermania stitch pattern to make the holes in the textured cream card and stitched with yellow thread that I have in my cross stitch stash. Then did the best bit or playing around until I liked the layout. To make one parchment flower I used 1 large flower with 2 medium and a small flower. I embossed these and then attahced together with a pearl brad.
I think this may do for the Swirl and Pearls challenge over at The Craft Pad.

Vee's Sketch Challenge

Hi guys,

I am still on a roll and I hope (fingers and toes crossed) that it carries on for along time. I was having a nosey around on the blogs like you do and I went to Vee's blog which I have to confess I have not visited in a long time ( my hands have been slapped for this). So of course I saw the latest sketch and I had to have a go.

I used my nesties and new promarkers and my new Magnolia stamp of bandage Edwin, love this stamp. I also used some patterned papers which I get told I do not use enough. So I think I have covered all my bases on this project.

Well I hope you like this card.

Had to make another post it cover

Hi guys,

Well in the last post you saw that I can make something for myself once in a while......well the other half saw what I made and wanted one for him.......so here it is......

.......and it had to go with the desk calendar that I made him at the begining of the year......so I followed the same sizes as below and made sure that I used the Dragon from Lili of the Valley and had to include his name somewhere on it so it does not go for a walk from his desk.....yes it is hard to believe but people will take things. I made a Dragon coaster done in cross stitch for him once and this went for a walk.

Cupcake Challenge and something for me.

Hi guys,
While surfing the wonderful world of You Tube I found a few things on post it covers which I have been saying I would do for ages so here is one I did one for myself.
I have been playing with my new promarkers and glitter. When I am making things for me I don't really use glitter but this time I thought I would. So here is my project which had to dazzle which this does but keeping it simple.
I used card meassured at 7 and 1/2" by 3 and 1/4". I scored at 3 and 1/2 and then at 4". Then the best bit......I played.
I hope you like.
